Yash Ghai

Yash Ghai taught at the University of Hong Kong from 1989 to 2005.

His primary areas of research while in Hong Kong were the Basic

Law of the HKSAR and human rights in multi-cultural states. He has

taught at several other universities, has advised a number of states

on constitutional reform, chaired the Kenya Constitutional Conference

(the equivalent of the constituent assembly) and served as the Special

Representative of the UN Secretary General for human rights in

Cambodia from 2005-2008 when he resigned.
